In-N-Out the 64/60 Playoff Edition

What a great season it has been. It is only fitting the the BC Figthin Amish find themselves in the Championship game. The Amish have by far been the most dominating team in the 64/60 this season. Although they have had their struggles with the Factory the Amish have had little competition from anyone else. The other squad that will compete this week for a title is last years winner Bo's Bad Asses. The Asses return to defend last season's title and look to become the first back to back winner in the brief history of the 64/60. Though the Asses haven't been as dominating as the Amish this season, they have been one of the hottest teams since a 3-3 start and went into the playoffs as the 3 seed.

I have looked at the matchups for both squads for the upcoming week and this should be a very close matchup. The projected score has the Amish winning 84-79. The Asses have to love Rodgers who has been the stud for them going up against the Seahawks at home coming of a loss and looking for a playoff spot. All that should add up to a big performance. I see this matchup coming down to the WR position. The Amish dominance can be attributed to the best WR corp in the league. Marshall, Houshmanzadeh and Colston can all be dynamic at times but in the case of Marshall and Hous the are consitent. Even in a down game you can expect a solid 7 to 8 point from them. On the flipside the Asses feature Austin and Jackson. They could be the two biggest play WR's in the NFL this season however both could lay a big egg each weekend if they cannot find the big play for 6. The Amish should have a edge at the RB position with MJD who has been a top 5 player this season and Gore has a very favorable matchup however both Barber and Williams can score in double digits. Both K's and both D's should get you some points because of the matchups this week so a Special Teams TD or a Defensive TD could really go along way in deciding a winner. Bottom line the edge in RB for the Amish is negated by the Asses upperhand at QB the D and K matchup is a push so the game goes to the winner of the WR position. I wish you both good luck and I would love to see the game come down to the wire unlike last years egg laid by the Factory.

In other 64/60 news Christiopher Lee has accepted the Assistant Commissioners position and will be second in command effective January 1, 2010. We will also eliminate the 64/60 Council at that time so all decisions will be made by the Commissioners Office. I assure everyone that I am up to the task and all decisions will be made with the best intrest in the league in mind. I encourage everyone to contact me regarding anything you would like to see to improve the league experience. Looking into the upcoming year it appears we are going to need some participants for baseball. I hope to once again play in a 14 team league however if we cannot find enough quality owners a 12 team league will do.

Todd Whitley will return to the 64/60 next season. Todd's ownership has come into question during his previous two year run however he has assured me that he has matured and has turned over a new leaf in regards to Fantasy Team Ownership. Since he is family and the namesake of my son I have approved his return to the league. I assure you however that if any of his past tendancies resurface he will be given a lifetime ban. I have also spoken with Bill Fenney regarding a acquaintance of his. I know that Bill has been a great owner so I would have no hesitation in accepting any person he should reccomend. If both of the aforementioned applicants accept a spot that would still leave two spots open. Andrew Clark, Robbie Poore, David Thomas and Jim Hutchinson will not be returning next year. I have spoken to the 11 year old wonderkid Nathaniel Davidson and he has expressed intrest in further humiliation of the elder. I would also love to extend a invitation out to Joshua Gilbert. Gilbert is a big contributor to all other league related outlets however he has never owned a team. If anyone has someone in mind please let me know and we can get someting worked out if possible.

I want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season. I hope everyone enjoys the time with friends and family. I want to thank everyone for your viewership over the last year and a half. I work hard to hopefully provide you with some entertaining reading despite the abundance of spelling and grammatical errors. I would like to thank Joshua Gilbert on his contributions. His stories are actually very good and make mine look like crap but in no way am I bitter I love the help. The Just Joshin Episode's hasn't quite built up a following yet but hopefully when we return after the first of the year we can get the wheels going again and internet fame will find us.

Best Wishes and Happy Holidays,

Josh Coleman
64/60 Commissioner
