Week 9 certainly didn't provide the thrills and photo finishes of the past 8 weeks. Not a single game was within 9 points this week and that game had already been decided by Sunday barring some miraculous events during the Monday Night contest. It is very odd to have a full slate of games and not a single one provide any drama. I have no data on this or haven't done any extensive research but I feel safe in saying that last weeks events have never happened before in the brief history of the 64/60.
In old news last weeks classic showdown between the Beaker Breakers and Argumentative 9irons ended in a tie. For those of you who didn't follow the game closely like myself, here is the scoop. The 9irons held a slim lead until the 4th quarter of last Monday's Falcons/Saints game. Matt Ryan threw a Hail Mary at the end of the game that was picked off thus taking points away from the 9irons and ultimately giving them the 1 or 2 pt loss. I can't think of a more devastating way to lose. But as fate would have it in a case of a scoring change the Beaker Breakers lost 2 pts. and therefore the game ended in a tie. I apologize if these events aren't exactly as they happened but the point of the story is this. The Breakers antics from this past season are not acceptable to the Fantasy Gods and he is a will forever be a cursed owner. Jesse you can't run from Karma.
Moving on to the present. The BC Amish continue to run away with the league winning their 8th straight contest. The next longest winning streak in the league belongs to the defending champ Bo's Bad Asses, who has won 3 consecutive games and given the recent struggles of the Knockers and Colonels the Asses now find themselves in 2nd place. Speaking of the Colonels they have now lost 3 in a row with the loss to Hell and Damnation, and there must be some cause for concern. Ronnie Brown has been a non-factor for the most part over the last few weeks and because of the lack of depth the Colonels more than anyone need big production from the RB position. Thus no production no win. The Beaker Breakers and Bounty Hunters have had their struggles of late also. Both where in the top 5 just a few weeks ago but now both are at or below .500. Both squads are playoff contenders and this weeks matchup could serve as a playoff game as the loser will face a tough road to the playoffs. Congratulations is in order for the B'Ville Stars who finally get of the losing streak. The Stars have had a rough go of it this season but Mr. McClung has stayed focused kept putting the best lineup out their and finally the effort is rewarded with a W. Hell and Damnation's win over the Colonels kept their season alive and with Tom Brady heating up they could be a force down the stretch despite their issues at the RB position. Though bernie leroy suffered a loss this past week both he and the Urinators are in the playoff hunt in their debut seasons. Both stand at 4-5 and both have come back strong after disappointing starts to the season. This is a sign of character and leadership. When I brought these two guys over from the HFL I wanted them not only for their extensive knowledge of the game of football or their ability to consume a lot of beer but because they would add character and serve as honorable representatives of the 64/60. I have not been disappointed. As for the Argumentative 9irons sometimes saying nothing is better than saying something.
There will be no game breakdowns this week as it is 5AM and I must now go to work. I didn't want to disappoint the loyal followers of the blog by not posting the In-N-Out column on it's normal day. Things will be better next week.

How did I lose 2 points?
Are you still mad about the baseball season where I handed you your ass in the championship game as well as in our football match up, thus, provoking the name Beaker Breakers?
Mad No. Bitter yes. I have no idea what caused the 2 Point reduction. I will try to find out. Though the Beaker Breakers is a direct jab on me I do find it to be very creative and a very good name. Your Fantasy reign is officially over though.
Good Day,

Bitter eh? I'm sure it was hard to swallow a defeat handed by someone who might spend at most 2 minutes a week, setting a lineup and 30 minutes a day trash talking.
As soon as Brian Westbrook dies, I will be in better shape, fantasy wise.
So, I beg to differ regarding the end of my fantasy reign.
You have a better day,
