You remember when that one guy replaced Orlando?? Gardner-Webb and VMI do. I post this today for a few reasons...One reason is that I supported Tubby Smith. I may not have been happy at time with a slow down offense and not being in the Final Four since 1998, but I thought, and still do, that Tubby Smith is a GREAT ball coach. Butch will spout of his "Let me tell you what scouts or whatever other recruiting service or NBA draft express says about this guy...yadda yadda yadda...I dont care, for the last time, all that matters to me is what they do in the SEC not AAU or State Tournaments. I also find it odd as some of the Cats Butch talks about the most(Keith Boggins) would not have been a Cat if not for Tubby. I never Bashed Tubby in a public forum, and will still not ... I bashed that Billy guy every chance I got, and still do to this day..That won't change. Also would like to point out that I was a Calipari fan long before he was brought to the EMPIRE. Others bashed him. When John Cheney tried to attack him at a post game press conference, I wanted nothing more than for Cal to pull a mafiaoso manuever from a vilolin case and rid the NCAA of that Bill Cosby blowin' idiot.

Secondly,Notre Dame, which is the Kentucky Basketball equivalent in the Football ranks finds themselves in a similar position as the CATS were those many days(2 years and 57 days) ago. Same story,different faces. I don't want the Irish to make a mistake and hire a guy who has some success building a program that is a little south of the national radar, then gets the premier job in his industry and just is not able to wrap his head around the magnitude of said position. Cincinnati's head coach has done great things in the Queen City. He is, however, right were he needs to be, In Cincinnati. A more high-profile job will come his way, just not the Notre Dame job. He will be a great coach, just not good enough for the Irish. Meyer is your man. Pay the money, I think the Nazi's stockpile of Jewish Gold is floating around out there, ND should use every bit of it. They are in need of a bail-out, and Meyer is the universal health care that they need in South Bend. Won't come eh? Seriously, what more can he do in Gainesville? Nothing. And you know after Tebow leaves he wont stay there. Hell, I have been to Gainesville. Tebow is the only reason he is there.
