Indiana beats another #1 wearing a shade of blue in Bloomington

Michigan rode into Assembly Hall in Bloomington as the #1 team in the nation. They aren't leaving the same way,as there was no victory cry of 'Wolverines!' after tonight's Red Dawn in Bloomington.

Once again, The Hoosiers have upset the reigning number one team in the land in Assembly Hall tonight as they downed Michigan 81-73. After Travis Ford's Okie State Cowpokes beat #2 Kansas earlier in the afternoon in Lawrence, and the fact that Duke was trounced recently by Miami, #3 Indiana made a statement that they should be and are the number one team in the land... and it's a pretty barren land this year.

Although, Florida is actually the best team in the country from what we have seen, thus far.

Indiana. Two individuals who I have come into contact with in my life which have left me with some strong feelings of dislike were from Indiana. I had an ex-girlfriend who's brother had an fiance from Indiana, and half of the family migrated there... It's all there, lined up like little toy soldiers. I am destined to dislike Indiana.

Bobby Knight, Calbert Chaney, and Damon Bailey do nothing but set that feeling in stone.

Whenever I think of Indiana, and their Duke-ish tendency to not want to play teams, high-powered teams, away from Bloomington,(and in most years the Big 10 doesn't really require  too much from them) is sickening.

However, to their credit, they did beat the unstoppable Kentucky squad from last season... at Assembly Hall. In the tourney, different story all together.

But dear God, if that did not give ESPN more lube for their anti-Kentucky boner stroking... It's 1992 all over again... It was a commercial within hours...

I don't like their fans. I don't like their students. I don't like the dairy products that may or may not come from Indiana. i don't know if they actually flourish in such markets, but I'll never find out because I don't like Indiana.

To watch their behavior in Assembly Hall, and every ESPN broadcaster and moronic IU fan on message boards building the place up like it was the site of the Last Supper, is just nauseating.
Watch a Hoosier home game. It's like watching those old Nazi propaganda film reels of those Hitler rallies.

And, they rush the floor. Indiana. 5 time national champion. Numerous weeks spent as the #1 team in the land. A state that markets basketball more than it does any other resource (only real likeness to our beloved Commonwealth). The last school to have it's program run the table and finish the season undefeated. Yes, Indiana. And they rush the floor. They need to send a written apology to their past. In cursive hand-writing. You, of all teams, should never, NEVER, rush the floor.. No matter who you beat.

And those stupid candy-striper warm-up pants. It looks like they ransacked Capt. Kangaroo's active-wear closet. Their fans wearing mock-turtle necks and sweater vests. And what self-respecting college kid trying to get a lil' mud for their turtle, thinks that red slacks and matching bow ties are a good idea??Good lord, I'm fighting urges right now to throat punch somebody just thinking about it. I'm going to find Alan Henderson right freaking now...

Oh, let's not leave out Santa Claus, Indiana and Holiday World. I'd rather take a bath in the urinals of Camden Park and make-out with the lady who runs the 'Whip' who takes a break from showering in the month of August, than to spend one minute in that forsaken locale. Which obviously means I have already had that displeasure.

Yeah, I hate Indiana. Hoosiers could have been made about any number of teams from Kentucky. Larry Bird didn't even like Indiana. The school nor state. He played at Indiana State, and yes he often speaks of his fondness for French Lick, as well as being a suit in the Pacers organization, but surely during his time in Boston, Sam Malone smartened him up (The other, Sam Malone). I refuse to believe otherwise.

However, Evansville gave us Wal-tahh, and they dig Jerry Lawler and are a pretty big UK market. And they have the Purple Aces ,who wore those Pentecostal-approved 'shirt' jerseys that looked more like little league jerseys than basketball attire. Also, they do take pretty good care of their old gyms and field houses. it's actually amazing how well taken care of those old gals are.

I'm angry and sometimes that makes me say things that may not be on Wikipedia...yet.
