64/60 MAN of the Week (for life): Matthew Bradford

Yesterday, Kentucky's game against A&M did have a special guest, even if it wasn't Ashley Judd or (much maligned and punch-line fodder) former coach Billy Clyde Gillispie... It was somebody who was much more important. Someone who's meddle if worth metal.

A Purple Heart Metal, to be exact.

Matthew Bradford is an Iraqi War veteran, who upon stepping on an explosive device, lost both of his legs. Not to mention the fact that the blast also resulted in him losing his sight.

No regrets from Bradford, who indeed was awarded the Purple Heart for his service to the United States Armed Forces, about any thing that has occurred in his life as result of joining the fight to preserve a way of life.

He'd die for America, and he bleeds blue for the Cats.

A tip of the hat goes to Nation of Blue for the head's up and photo.
