White Sox
Rotation- All appears to be set as Chris Sale appears to be heading to the rotation. However given his lack of SP experience a poor spring could make the White Sox reconsider. Should Sale struggle with the change look for Dylan Axlerod and Zach Stewart to be the front runners for the spot.
Closer- Matt Thornton is the odds on favorite to land the job coming out of camp. With only a sketchy past to speak of Thornton could easily work his way out of the gig. Addison Reed has become the trendy "Sleeper" pick of many but Jesse Crain would be more likely to earn the role breaking camp.
Indians
OF- Currently the OF is set with Sizemore, Choo, and Brantley but no games have been played and Sizemore has already fell victim to a injury. All signs point toward no big deal but the problem is we still have 15-20 games for a setback to occur. Look for LaPorta and Spillborgh battle for backup duties.
Tigers
DH/OF/3B/2B- It sounds like a lot to sort out in a month but truth be told where Ryan Raburn is playing and position eligibility is the only thing up in the air. Cabrera moves to third, Inge becomes ignored by his own family, Young to DH, Raburn to LF. Cabrera goes the DH route, Inge has no fantasy value but plays, Young plays LF and Raburn handles the Keystone.
Rotation- Two of the Tigers top prospects likely battle for the 5th starters spot. Jacob Turner figures to be the favorite heading into camp. Oliver could outpitch his way into the role as his LH status would offset a all RH rotation.
Royals
Rotation- Four spot look pretty secure, from a occupational standpoint, with Hochevar, Sanchez, Duffy and Chen. Vin Mazzaro, Aaron Crow, Ronny Paulino, and possibly Jeremy Jeffress with a very outside shot. Jeffress would have to be lights out so it's pretty safe to eliminate him from the running. That leaves Mazzaro, Crow and Paulino. Crow has the best pedigree of the bunch considering his former 1st Round draft pick status however last season was his first in the majors and he spent it in the bullpen, very effective I may add. Paulino has the best K potential of the bunch but his track record is brilliant or bad with no middle ground. Mazzaro would seem to be the fallback option should they both fail. I have Paulino winning the job but if all things are equal Crow will get the nod unless a injury to the bullpen would pull him back in.
Twins
Morneau- Will Justin Morneau even be able to be the everyday 1B? If so will he continue to be a skeleton of his former self? My best guess is Morneau plays effectively but not at the MVP level of 08. I expect Morneau to surpass his AB totals from the last two season but fall short of the 450 plateau.
